Aloha Members,

I am writing to ask that you send testimony in advocating that the Laniakea project be put in the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) via the Oahu Metropolital Planning Organization's (OMPO) website:

Attached is documentation that the OMPO Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) ranked Kamehameha Hwy. safety Improvements from Haleiwa to Kahaluu,  with emphasis on Laniakea, as the #1 priority recommendation from the CAC for the TIP.

Additionally, there is $7 million in the state budget a 20/80 split between the state and federal funding (see attached). Federal funding can't be used if the project is not in the TIP. The Environmental Assessment is currently underway and should be completed within a year making this project "shovel ready" a requirement for it to be in the TIP.

Please send in testimony today explaining why this is such an important project for the North Shore! Let's get rid of those ugly barriers as soon as possible by getting this project funded.

Mahalo nui,
Antya
